My first book that belongs in "Women fiction" genre. It's a story about family with abusive, violent and toxic dynamics. Uderwhelming characters made it hard for me to finish the book. However I feel it deserves 2 stars for lively descriptions of food and Alaskan nature.

Its not a story jedi would tell you… This book gives us big insight about the big events occuring before episode 1 and also leads us through episode 1 briefly towards the end of the book. The book offers an amazing outlook to the one of the most powerful sith duos (darth plagueis and darth sidious) and give us a thrilling ride from start till the end. Deep study of the dark side of the force, betrayals, sith machinations, political intrigue, corruption, revenge, manufacturing of the conflicts, putting persons of interest into power to further the cause, physical and financial manipulation… this book does it all. When you read this book you understand that grand plan of the sith was designed in such way, there was no chance to prevent the downfall of the corrupt republic and righteous jedi order. One also realises how crucial Darth Plagueis was for the ultimate culmination of the grand plan of the Sith where Sith would rule the galaxy once more. Absolutely brilliant. For the end to quote Darth Plagueis: The power of the dark side is an illness no true Sith wishes to be cured of.
